Sweet Tawna Ann

I had the pleasure to photograph this little 8 day new angel on Saturday. And when I say little...I mean little! She was just over 5 pounds!

She's such a cutie and we got some adorable pics but I think my favorite one was the one Daddy requested...

I just love it!

Congrats again to my friends Brent and Sabrina...and big brothers and big sister too!

Ocean Shores

Better late than never :) At the beginning of May we spent some time in Ocean Shores, WA. I just love being on the ocean! The smell, the sounds...LOVE IT ALL!

Saturday and Sunday mornings, Isabel and I got up while everyone else was crashed out, and went out to the beach. Okay, it was a little after 5 in the morning...so I don't blame them! But we had such a great time, walking on the beach at low tide and finding all kinds of sand dollars!

With the water so far out and the sand still wet, we saw some amazing reflections!

But the thing that amazed us the most was, while we were out playing around by the tide pools, we came across a spot that Isabel named the "Crab Grounds" where there were hundreds of dead crabs that washed up like a buffet for the seagulls and other birds. We hung out for what seemed like forever watching the birds going crazy!

In the afternoons we went down to the beach again, only this time...we found tons of amazing kites blowing in the wind. These things were HUGE too!

Pizza for lunch at Dugan's was amazing...but dinner was a little harder to find. I wanted crab legs...BAD. But after hunting the locals places (one seafood place had everything but crab!) we ended up back at the hotel restaurant for dinner...and my crab! Fun and relaxing weekend! Another place I would definately go back to visit!

Our Memorial Day Weekend

Spent the long holiday weekend with the family on our first camping trip of the year! We had planned on going spelunking at Ape Cave on Mt St. Helens but they still had 3 feet of snow, so we opted instead to stay close to home, and made the one hour trip to Entiat WA. We camped at Silver Falls Campground which was right across the road from the waterfall. So awesome listening to the falling water all day...and night. I loved it!

When we got almost to the top...we got to walk behind the waterfall! I think that was the kid's (and my husband's) favorite part :)

Then we went to check out Entiat Falls...

...and Box Canyon.

When we were at Box Canyon, the thunder and lightening started rolling in so we headed back to camp to put up some blue skies. Then...it didn't even rain!

The last night before bed...we did a little firewriting! The kids went nuts! It was so much fun!

We had a great time in Entiat and plan to make it back up there another time in the near future to check out three other waterfalls that fall from the cliffs on the other side of the river. More adventures...more FUN!

Stonehenge in Washington

We've made many trips across the Columbia River going between Washington and Oregon and have seen this memorial in the distance, not knowing exactly what it was. A couple weekends ago, we decided to stop. And wow....It is amazing. A man named Sam Hill built this replica of Stonehenge to honor those Washington soldiers who paid the ultimate price for our freedom in WWI. It was finished in 1930 and shortly after Sam Hill passed away. His final resting place is at the base of the bluff where this Stonehenge sits, overlooking the Gorge.

It was a very emotional stop. In the inside of this monument there are plaques on the 13 columns in memory of the fallen soldiers. Such a beautiful tribute. And definately worth the 5 minute out of the way trip.

Working on Figuring all this Out!

I am not a blogger. I don't know how to create all the cool graphics you see in most blogs....but I'm trying to learn. Might take me a while, but sometime soon, I hope this blog page will be up and running!

There are so many amazing things getting ready to explode at Secret Window Photography! As spring time is upon us, outdoor sessions are back in full swing! We've just completed a trip thru the Columbia River Gorge and have another trip to Ocean Shores, WA planned for the weekend after next. Can't wait to share some of the amazing beauty of the ocean! All this is in preparation for our next big adventure! This summer, we are planning to be a part of the Wenatchee Valley Farmers Market in Wentachee, WA. This is a great opportunity to share of work with the hundreds people that visit every weekend! We'll be offering sneak peaks of some of the images...others, you'll have to come out to see!

So...stayed tuned. Many fun things to come! Couldn't be more excited!
